Back from Japan Tour
November 9, 2008
I’ve been meaning to post here about the Japan tour since I got home a month ago and I’m finally getting around to it. Many thanks are owed to Puma Japan and Redbook for inviting me out there and promoting this tour so well. Loads of cool cats among their ranks. Many thanks to Japan for being such a dope country with delicious noodles, fast trains, loyal fans, monster soundsystems, beautiful temples, and excellent music. I hope to see you again soon. Many thanks to the mysterious Nujabes for his hospitality and Hydeout Productions for bringing my music out there in the first place. Thanks to labelmate and future collaborator Uyama Hiroto for the jam session. Thanks to the legion of talented musicians I was able to share the stage with (Ge-ology, DJ Taninaka, Sound Market Crew, Hermitude, and all the rest). Arigato!
Please check out the tour blog written by my girlfriend Adrianne for a more in-depth personal account of the entire tour. You will find loads of pictures and links to even more pictures.

Nujabes, famous Japanese hip-hop super producer and owner of Hydeout Productions record label, has just released Hydeout Second Collection, the much anticipated follow-up to 2003’s First Collection. Once again, Nujabes has pieced together a brilliant selection of head-nodding grooves, capturing the unique sound of Japan’s vibrant underground hip-hop scene. This heavily jazz-influenced, largely instrumental album features new songs and remixes by Nujabes and company, as well the most recent addition to the label, producer Emancipator. Don’t sleep on this release!
the official emancipator news blog
July 4, 2007
recently, there’s been a lot of emancipator related news on my front that, until now, i have distributed via myspace bulletins and the occasional myspace blog. myspace bulletins that are quickly buried beneath others and are only available to myspace users. myspace blogs that are reserved for semi-permanent, essential information for those passing through my page. this blog is the new and vastly superior source for everything related to my music. i will also regale you with other tales of my life to keep you coming back. this is long overdue.
